Through Marketing Strategies Assessment

According to Sun Tzu’s Art of War, there are five assessment factors that have marketing relevance in the present day.
  • Moral Influence: Great marketing strategies flow from visions and missions that have a strong moral function

  • Weather: Every marketing plan must consider external factors such as: economic conditions, government, regulations, politics and the environment

  • Terrain: Where and how you address the market is covered by the eight Ps: planning, people, products, positioning, promotion, persuasion, personal selling, and price.

  • Commander: Sun Tzu states the importance of wisdom, sincerity, benevolence, courage, and discipline. The strong leader is the one communicates their marketing strategies vision. That leader will prevail

  • Doctrine: These are the core beliefs and values of the leaders. A strategy usually cannot kill a culture, however a culture can kill a strategy.
