Go Green To Increase Tradeshow Traffic

With prices nearing $4.00 per gallon, most people are now trying to run greener lives.

Your trade show booth can become the convention hotspot by helping others reduce their carbon footprint.

To help increase trade show traffic at your next show order cotton tote bags.  Print "ABC company helped me turn green" on one side and "Top 5 ways to be green" on the other side.  Although the top 5 ways to be green can be argued, the top 5 easiset ways are:

  1. Unplug Electronic Devices
  2. Use More Cold Water
  3. Switch To Compact Fluorescent Lightbulbs
  4. Take Public Trasit, Walk, Bike, Carpool
  5. Buy Local Fruits and Vegetables Or Grow Your Own

Promote Expertise At Tradeshow Booth

Customers and prospects respond better to education and information than hard selling. As part of your ongoing communication with your customers, offer them educational reports, invite them to seminars, and give them ideas on how to improve their business. By positioning yourself as an expert, you are demonstrating that you understand their needs. Next convention your exhibiting at, turn your trade show booth into an information source to boost traffic!

Include A Chair At Your Tradeshow Booth

Conventions are not made for people who need a short walking break!

Trade shows often have plenty of space to walk, but not enough space to sit and catch breathers. Normally, convention centers do have benches on premises, however they are almost all located just outside the exhibit area, forcing people to leave the show in order to sit down.

This causes an inconvenience for those who wish to continue with the show but simply want a small walking break. It forces such people to walk over to the entry, pass security (again), and then walk all the way back to the point they had left previously.

Scenarios such as the above, provide a significant opportunity to boost traffic at your booth. Including a comfortable chair as part of your tradeshow display will allow your booth to become a hotspot!

Dancing Displays

Having something truly unique at your booth helps engage people into conversation.

When I was representing a security company at a tradeshow, we found out how true the above statement really is!

At the start of the show, we placed a dancing stand infront of our booth just to see people's reactions.

Thanks to that unique piece, we had many more visitors then the year prior, and many more people learned about us!

E-mail Your Way To Tradeshow Traffic

Many state of the art convention centres are wireless internet enabled. Most exhibitors use this feature for their own personal use without realizing the potential it has to bring in tons of booth traffic!

Here is how to unlock the potential...
  • Call somebody you know with a laptop (if you do not own one yourself).
  • Bring it to your booth, and place the laptop ontop of a desk.
  • Make a sign saying "check your e-mail here"
Visitors will automatically stop by your booth to check their e-mails and quickly learn about your company and what you have to offer!
